Set up Sync

Choose the default permissions and commission of a new Sync invitation, and the emails you receive when a platform acts on your account.

Settings › Sync has two tabs: Platform, the default terms of your new invitations, and Connected account, the emails you receive when a platform you are connected to acts on your account.

The owner, an Administrator, a Developer, a Viewer or a custom role with View settings opens these settings; only the owner, an Administrator or a custom role with Manage settings changes them. Both tabs need the Scale or Enterprise plan, or the Sync add-on: without them, the entry stays visible but locked. The settings apply to Sandbox and Live alike, and no security code is asked for.

The default terms

  1. Step 1, Open the Sync settings

Open Settings › Sync. The page opens on the Platform tab.

These terms fill in each new invitation, and you can still change them there.
  2. Step 2, Tick the default permissions

Under Default permissions, tick what a new invitation asks the merchant for. Payments is always asked for. From the first change, the You have unsaved changes bar appears at the bottom of the page.

  3. Step 3, Set the default commission

Under Default commission, enter the Percentage (%) and the Fixed fee, in your settlement currency. Leave Fee cap empty to leave the commission uncapped.

  4. Step 4, Save

Save changes applies the new values; Discard goes back to the previous ones.

These values only apply to invitations created afterwards in the dashboard, and you can still change them for each merchant in the form. An existing connection keeps its terms: they are changed on its page, see Change the terms. A connection created through the API takes the permissions and the commission its request names, and no commission when it names none: Account capabilities.

Connected account emails

The Connected account tab concerns your organisation when it is itself connected to a platform. Under Email notifications, three switches:

SwitchThe email goes out when
Capabilities changedthe platform turns permissions on or off on your account
Payment status changedthe platform suspends or resumes your payments
Connection terminatedthe platform disconnects you

A switch turned off stops that email. New terms a platform proposes always arrive by email, since they wait for your answer: Respond to a platform. Save with Save changes.
