Find your API keys
Where the API keys are in the dashboard, who sees them, and where to read how to create, restrict and roll them.
API keys let your site or your app call Wajub. They are in Settings › Developers › API keys. How to create and use them is described in the developer docs; this page only says where to find them.
The owner, an Administrator, a Developer, a Sandbox user, in Sandbox only, or a custom role with Manage API keys opens this page; for other members, the entry does not appear in the settings. Every plan has access to it. Creating, editing, revealing, rolling or revoking a key asks for the security code.
What the page shows
Each environment has its own keys: in Sandbox, the page reminds you You are viewing sandbox keys., and the Live keys only appear once you have switched to Live.
The page sorts the keys into three groups. The Publishable key identifies your account in the code that runs on the payer's side and can be shared. Secret keys give full access and are only used from your server. Restricted keys only open the permissions you choose, for a third-party tool for example.
Create API key opens the creation form. On a key, Reveal shows its value again, Roll replaces it, In 24 hours or Now, and Revoke key cuts it off for good. Quick copy gives the publishable key and the first secret key, with Copy the .env lines to paste them into your environment file.
