Shield is Wajub's built-in fraud detection layer. Configure how aggressively it screens payments, maintain a blocklist, and monitor fraud statistics — all enforced server-side by the API (see the Shield API reference).
Settings
| Setting | What it does |
|---|---|
| Review threshold | Fraud score above which a payment is flagged for review. |
| Block threshold | Fraud score above which a payment is blocked automatically. Must be higher than the review threshold. |
| Blocklist | Block specific customers or IP addresses outright, regardless of score. |
Advanced plan
Automatic 3D Secure step-up based on risk score is only available on the Shield advanced plan — it stays off otherwise, even if configured.
Stats
The Shield dashboard shows fraud statistics for the selected period — a retrospective view of what was blocked or flagged, not a live feed.
